Brian Byrnes

Brian Byrnes is a local Marin County photographer who has been capturing images with a camera since he was a young teenager. He would trek out into nature and bring the photos home and create oil paintings from the images. Brian studied photography along with his other art courses at the University of Santa Clara in the 70's and even made a 16 mm movie during that period that reflected all of the beauty he found in nature from the ocean to the mountains and back again.His goal has always been to surprise the viewer with his perspective, to find the gem hidden in the gravel by waiting for just the right lighting to turn the mundane into magic. Brian has won many awards recently at the Marin County Photography Contest at the annual Marin County Fair.
