"Art helps us to discover why we're unique. There's the old precept that ten people can be looking at the same tree, and if you had them draw it, you have ten different trees. I want to realize and define what constitutes my own intuitive artistic sensibilities.

Using acrylic, enamel,and oils, I create non representational abstractions. I paint in layers, creating a sense of depth and mystique. Because of this I'll work on a painting for many months, and it will change direction many times. Minimizing the use of formula or template, my paintings take on a life of their own. This is where conflict and compromise merge, and in the end a finish conformed by a subconscious satisfaction." - Tim Rompel
